The Sister Wendy Musical at Hackney Empire with Siobhan. It was great fun - amazing voices, great staging, very funny and great performances from Gay Soper as Sister Wendy and Colette Kelly as Mother Ruth.

Discovering that my oyster card works on what was the North London line (now the London Overground).

Reading The Starfish and the Spider - a really interesting book.

Amazon books arrived in the post so enjoyed flicking through those whilst lazing in bed.

Switched off phone and laptop for most of the day and enjoyed the digital silence.

Saturday afternoon films on telly - nothing memorable, just nice to watch a couple of movies.

Enjoyed the Sunday papers for once.

I mastered seared tuna. The first was *really* good, and the second one was totally a-may-zing!

Watching Chicago on the tellybox - one of my favourite film musicals. I didn't even realise it was on until it was on. A turn up for the books.

Gambas ajillo (homemade) (prawns in oil and garlic with a hint of chili) with rocket salad and ciabatta for tea. Really yummy.

Finding out that the stuff I *need* to buy from Boots is not only available online, but also on special offer. Result.

Happiness Part 3

I'm going to try an experiment. A pal of mine writes Simple Pleasures Part 3 which is an exploration of what makes people happy, focusing on the Simple Pleasures of life which in turn was inspired by an Ian Dury Song, Reasons to be Cheerful part 3 (which is also a rather good song).

It's inspired me to note 3 good things about each day that made me happy. This blog will be their record. There's no guarantee I'll keep it up to date, it's an experiment after all, but I'm going to try.
